2 Day Uganda cultural safari tour detailed itinerary
Day 1: Transfer to Lake Mburo national park.
On the day of this wildlife and cultural safari, our guide will pick you from your hotel or residence. Driving along Masaka road, you will have you first stop at the equator. Here, you will have breakfast and take part in the hemispheric experiments. You will then proceed to Lake Mburo. On arrival, you will checkinto the lodge and have an early lunch in preparation for the afternoon boat cruise. This cruise takes place on Lake Mburo and this ensures a relaxing time in the wild. During the boat cruise, you will close encounters with the wildlife in and around the lake. Some of these wildlife include; hippos, buffaloes, crocodiles and plenty of bird species like the kingfisher, fish eagle, crested cranes and many more.After the boat cruise, you will go for an evening game drive. You will get to encounter more wildlife like zebra, impala, leopards, elands, giraffes, buffalo, topi and many more. You will then return to the lodge for a relaxing evening.
Day 2: Cultural tour and return to Kampala.
After a restful night, you will go to a local community for a cultural safari tour. We will begin with their first activity of the day; milking. This is done by hand as it was done in their traditional cultural. You will learn about the process of storage and turning into butter. You will be amazed at the different wooden vessels used to store the milk. The design of these wooden vessels is amazing. The construction of their huts is another aspect of their cultural that is fascinating. After the cultural our, we will depart Lake Mburo for Kampala. A stop over at Mpambire will expose us to the craft of making drums. We will then proceed to Kampala. On arrival, the guide will drop you at your hotel or residence.
